Over the years REI has received several honors from the government of Vietnam for its service there. We count this as another, as VUFO (the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations), the agency which oversees international NGOs (Non-Government Organizations, or non-profit organizations) extended this invitation to REI. We were one of 33 INGOs to receive this invitation, out of 879 INGOs currently serving in Vietnam. This reflects Vietnam's appreciation of what we do, and affirms our significant and lasting contribution to the building up of Vietnam.
